 So we finally got to have a nice North Indian Thali Meals @ Trafalgar Square (after 4 days hehe).

Salad, Butter chicken, lamp gravy, Onion Bhajji and Rice Indian food tastes err different abroad ! :D Oh well it was good enough to keep me on my toes for the next few hours :)  It was a simple meal, but i enjoyed it simply because I was starving and hadn't eaten well in 4 hrs :P

Trafalgar square

  Gallivanting aimlessly at Trafalgar square, London after dinner we walked past a an artist.

Well impressed by his work , I was so tempted to get my portrait done, so I went for it!

My15 minutes of fame

There is something almost intriguing about the way an artist views his subject and draws them ..
 

I of course cud not keep quiet for long, So I began a conversation with Mr..(I don't remember his name)

I learn t he was previously  a high school art teacher in China before migrating to Britain to find employment which he never did :(

Ok back to the portrait

So half way through the portrait, our conversation..

Mr Whatshisname: Like Monalisa, I draw u!

Me: Oh My really!

Mr Whatshisname:Yes yes No ? 

Me: Hmm ok!

Mr Whatshisname: Ohh u has long hair I see! Oh u wears nice dress , very beautiful very nice!

Me: *Awkward smile*

My mind voice: Wokay Bass! get back to work! 

So finally he gave a thumbs up and said 'Yes its ready,  come and see'

Lovely portrait! Monalisa smile alright! Ooo High Cheek bones and doe eyes!

Err Just one thing.. in my mind voice of course

From Sivaganga with love :)

I traveled to Sivaganga with my team quite recently,

We were having an early dinner @ a tiny, nameless hotel~the regular Idly, Dosai & Coffee

As we were about to leave, I caught a glimpse of this golden treat, My immediate reaction...


Me: Anna Athu enna Anna?~  Translated 'Hey Bro what is that yo!! \m/  Lol
*Just kidding*

The person in charge immediately offered us a Boli to taste !

Before I sank my teeth into it I clicked !! (Needless to say) but to my amusement the cook came out and stood beside me proudly overlooking his creation.

He was so proud of his 'signature' dish, more than that he was so overwhelmed that a 'nut' like me wud love to click pix of his 'cheeni boli', he walked us to our cab and told us he'd  love to come and prepare it if we had a occasion/function!

We ate to our heart's content and packed some to bring back home! and  yes we went off to the railway station smiling :)

Food tastes best when it is prepared and served with Love :)

Feugo!

Fuego translated in Spanish means Fire!

An inconspicuous restaurant in an overcrowded food court @ Ampa Sky Walk Mall,

Simple decor, neat interiors and unlike other grill restaurants it doesn’t smell like hot coals in here, I m enthused already.

I have been there just twice, with two special women in my life and both times I have had a great time.

I don't know what I enjoyed most, the food or the company :P or may be both!

Now back to food!

Nothing great about the garlic bread, it tastes pretty much the same everywhere :P moving on!


Our starters~ Chennai crab cakes

 A very Indianized version of crab cakes-innovative and absolutely Yummy dish !

Main Dish~ Stuffed Chicken

Stuffed Chicken, Pasta, Mashed potatoes and Salad

 Tender chicken breasts marinated in herbs and a dash of lemon, stuffed with minced mushroom sautéed in spices and grilled to perfection. This was served with a lettuce salad and vinegar dressing, mashed potatoes and tangy tomato pasta.

The mashed potatoes were warm and melted in my mouth, the pasta was just perfectly cooked and mixed with a tangy tomato sauce and seasoned with olives and Indian spices.

Stuffed Chicken

The iceberg and pomegranate salad was crispy, crunchy and the vinegar dressing was absolutely delicious. 


And for dessert ... Chocolate Mousse & Apple Crumble!

I leave it to your imagination as to how the chocolate mousse would have tasted, as for now I leave you with an image of how the plate looked like after we were done!!

The site, the smell and the taste ~ an ultimate delight for all the senses.

Coffee @ Costa!

I met a dear girl friend from College after 7 year when I visited London recently!

We spent the entire afternoon shopping, chatting and yes eating! We decided to end the day with a hot cup of Coffee (in my case) and a warm glass of Hot chocolate (in her case)

I just love a well concocted cup of coffee, but more than that I love the fancy coffee art!

I just love carrot cakes ! This one was soo FRESH !

A simple evening with coffee and more..

Add a tall,  warm glass of Hot chocolate and you have it all :)

However, the Coffee, Hot chocolate and carrot cake was not what I enjoyed the most ! It was the evening with a dear one which made me smile all the way to the airport  :)

P.S. She let me eat all her Marsh mellows :P
